Originally from rural Iowa, Joe Kurtenbach is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Paving Partners. Prior to Liberty, Joe was a consumer and business services investor at Golden Gate Capital, where he partnered with management teams to support growth at operating businesses. Prior to his career in business, Joe served as a U.S. Navy SEAL, deploying in support of operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and East Africa. Joe holds a JD from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also earned a Master’s degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.
